Our Funds

There are many ways you can support our community. 
By making a donation to a variety of funds, you help make WJC the amazing place that it is.  Below are all they ways you can make a difference: 
 
  • Yahrtzeit: In memoriam of a loved one on the anniversary of their passing.
  • Yizkor: In memoriam of a loved one throughout the year. 
  • The General Fund: We are deeply committed to providing an excellent facility, outstanding top-notch staff. Your donation to this fund allows our synagogue the flexibility to commit your resources exactly where they are needed most.
  • The Kiddush Fund: Helps us defray costs of shabbat and holiday kiddushes.
  • Religious School Fund: One of the primary mitzvot of Judaism is to teach it to our children. It is in the shema which we recite twice a day. This fund allows our Religious school to support special programs such as field trips and holiday programming. 
  • Early Childhood Education Fund: One of the primary mitzvot of Judaism is to teach it to our children. It is in the shema which we recite twice a day. This fund allows our ECE to offer special programs such as music and technology. 
  • Jeffrey Gellin Memorial Fund: Helps defray costs of our annual World Wide Wrap.
  • Rabbi's Discretionary Fund: The Rabbi uses this fund to help those in need, support programming and organizations he believes in, and reach out to current and potential members. 
  • Cantor's Discretionary Fund: The Rabbi uses this fund to help those in need, support programming and organizations he believes in, and reach out to current and potential members.
  • Siddur/Machzor: $50 each.  We are so blessed to live in an age where each Jew can pick up their own prayerbook and mine the depth of wisdom these ancient prayers offer. This fund allows us to maintain and replace our siddurim (prayerbooks)
  • Chumash Fund: $75 each.  Studying our precious Torah is essential to any Jewish journey. This fund helps maintain and replace our holy books
