We are excited to announce that Cantor Hillel Friedman will be joining us at Woodbury Jewish Center this Shabbat. He will lead both Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday evening beginning at 6:30pm and Shabbat Morning services on Saturday beginning at 9:00am. Please join us for a Kiddush luncheon following services on Saturday.
Cantor Hillel Friedman is an accomplished tenor and prayer leader whose work bridges the worlds of Jewish liturgical music and classical performance. He has led services at Congregation Anshei Emunah and is a proud member of the Hamptons Synagogue Choir, where his voice is heard regularly on JBS national television every Friday night.
Hillel has shared the stage with some of the most celebrated cantorial voices of our time, including Cantors Netanel Hershtik and Yitzchak Meir Helfgot, among many others. His versatility and passion for sacred music have made him a sought-after collaborator and performer across diverse musical settings.
In the broader world of classical music, Hillel has performed on some of the world's iconic stages including Carnegie Hall, where he appeared in the Richard Tucker Gala; Madison Square Garden, where he performed alongside Andrea Bocelli; the White House for its annual Hanukkah celebration; and Lincoln Center, for the 90th yahrzeit commemoration of the legendary Yossele Rosenblatt.
